Richard is a seasoned automotive leader with more than two decades of hands-on experience across motorsports, advanced manufacturing, and operations management. As General Manager of Pfaff Technologies, he drives the company’s strategic direction, operational performance, and business development initiatives with a sharp focus on innovation, efficiency, and scalable growth. His unique ability to merge technical accuracy with business execution enables him to take complex projects from concept to completion while balancing performance, timelines, and profitability.

His early career was built on 25+ years in competitive motorsports, where he managed and drove his own race programs across multiple disciplines. That real-world, high-pressure experience sharpened his understanding of vehicle dynamics, sponsor relationships, and performance optimization — insights that continue to inform Pfaff Technologies’ reputation for precision and craftsmanship. After transitioning from the racetrack into business management, he helped scale his family’s automotive wholesale and retail tire operation, strengthening sales strategy, customer service, and operational systems to support long-term growth.

Richard later founded the Mosport Karting Centre, a full-scale professional karting facility that grew rapidly even through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic — doubling sales and customer participation for three consecutive years before being acquired by Pfaff Motorsports. Today, at Pfaff Technologies, he leads the company’s expansion into advanced composites and 3D manufacturing for automotive, aerospace, and industrial partners. His leadership anchors the company’s commitment to quality assurance, material innovation, and process discipline — positioning Pfaff Technologies as a trusted engineering partner for high-performance, technically demanding projects.
