Doug is the Principal of D. Wilson Consulting, where he provides strategic and operational guidance to drive revenue growth, profitability, brand visibility, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement. In December 2024, he joined Pfaff Technologies as a member of the Advisory Board, bringing decades of leadership experience across multinational operational, planning, and logistics environments.

Doug spent the majority of his corporate career at Sony after beginning in the financial sector. At Sony Canada, he advanced through a series of senior roles, first as Branch Operations Manager for the Toronto region, then as General Manager of Corporate Planning & Administration, where he led the transition during Sony Corporation’s complete acquisition of Sony Canada. Following the implementation of a new ERP system, he was appointed Senior Vice President of the newly formed Supply Chain division, overseeing procurement, order management, and logistics nationwide. His career expanded into the United States when he became President of Sony Logistics of America, later returning to Canada to serve as President and COO of Sony Canada, responsible for national performance, brand stewardship, market share growth, and customer satisfaction. He also served as Chairman of the Operating Committee, a member of the Board of Directors and Compensation Committee, and a director with the Sony Canada Charitable Foundation. When Sony US and Sony Canada merged, Doug was appointed Deputy President and oversaw the integration of both organizations.

Doug holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Economics from York University and has completed extensive executive-level studies across strategy, leadership, marketing, supply chain, and finance. He is deeply committed to community service, serving on the board of Inn From the Cold and volunteering as a wish-granter with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. His past contributions include serving as President of the Sony Canada Charitable Foundation, sitting on the National Board of Make-A-Wish Canada, and contributing to the United Way as part of Toronto’s campaign cabinet. In recognition of more than 25 years of philanthropic service, Doug was awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal in 2025.
